Zhuqeelah grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and she holds a BSc in audiology from the University of Cape Town. 

Her passion for audiology started when she witnessed the difference it made in her own household, having a family history of hearing loss. The day Zhuqeelah’s mother came home with her set of hearing aids completely changed her family’s lives, as the aids made communicating so much easier and resolved the many previous issues caused by miscommunication. 

At The Hearing Clinic, Zhuqeelah focuses on adult diagnostic assessments, individualised hearing aid fittings and aural rehabilitation plans, as well as earwax removals. She says she enjoys being part of a team that has so much knowledge to share and does so willingly.  

Zhuqeelah looks forward to getting to know her patients and understanding what their hearing and communication needs are. Doing so helps her to create individualised management plans. She also likes being challenged in her work and constantly learning new things in the audiological field. 

Outside of the clinic, Zhuqeelah enjoys exploring surrounding towns and will often spend her weekends doing so. She is also a foodie who especially loves recreating dishes that she’s tried elsewhere.
