Louise Russell
Receptionist & Administrator
Louise grew up and attended school in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
After working in retail banking for 20 years, Louise decided it was time for a career change. While looking for jobs, Louise saw what is now her current role advertised, and she decided to research The Hearing Clinic further.
Louise found herself particularly interested in the clinic’s auditory processing disorder (APD) work. Having volunteered with children with special educational needs in the past and having extended family members who are neurodivergent, she was keen to be a part of a company that supports families in this area.
At the clinic, Louise greets patients as they arrive at reception. She answers phone calls and helps patients with any enquiries that they may have. Additionally, Louise produces reports for patients’ GPs or ENT specialists when required.
Witnessing the positive results patients experience at the clinic is a highlight of Louise’s work. For many patients, holding a conversation or hearing their families has clearly been a major struggle. She shares that it is so lovely to see a patient come out of the clinic with a huge smile on their face following a hearing aid fitting.
When she’s not working, Louise keeps busy baking and spending time outdoors with her husband and son. She also enjoys socialising with friends and going to the cinema and theatre.
