Candace grew up and attended school in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

She initially studied speech therapy and audiology and found herself fascinated by the development of communication in children. During her studies, Candace discovered just how rewarding it is to help people improve their ability to communicate through better hearing. 

According to her, supporting someone’s hearing doesn’t just improve their daily life – it strengthens their relationships with family and friends. Additionally, Candace has always had a love for technology, which makes working in the ever-evolving field of hearing care especially exciting and fulfilling. 

At The Hearing Clinic, Candace fills our clinical senior audiologist role with a special interest in tinnitus, and she also serves as the lead for infection control. Her role involves seeing patients and ensuring each one receives gold-standard hearing care – whether it’s during their initial assessments, throughout their hearing optimisation period or during annual hearing maintenance. She also regularly performs earwax removal appointments and takes impressions.  

Candace loves making a genuine difference in someone’s life. She finds helping people reconnect with their world through better hearing incredibly rewarding. Candace also enjoys the blend of patient care and cutting-edge technology, as it keeps the work both meaningful and dynamic. 

Outside of work, Candace likes staying active – whether that’s going to the gym or running or hiking outdoors. She enjoys dog walks and exploring different parts of London, where she lives. Candace also has a passion for travel, being creative and attending live music events.
