“I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart my son is 4½ . He first saw Bridgitte Harley around one year ago. He was having major problems tolerating noises such as sirens, hoovers, hair-dryers, hand dryers, washing machines, baby’s crying, music and nursery rhymes. His hearing is so acute that he can the wind and noises that normal hearing people don’t hear, and he is constantly asking: “What’s this noise? What’s that noise?” So we completed a sound sensitivity dairy for Bridgitte and she saw from the dairy how this was affecting Justyn's life and understood the difficulties he faces and the difficulties the family faces in trying to cope with his Hyperacusis. She recommend that he uses white noise generators , which would help retrain Justyn's brain to tolerate noise. The first time Justyn used the white noise generators I saw a major difference when we came out of the clinic. There was a council worker using a chainsaw, he was able to stand there and talk about it without becoming distressed. Bridgitte was very understanding and gave me great reassurance at this difficult time of a diagnosis of Hyperacusis. I would like to say that if there is anyone worried with hearing loss, or think they have some type of hearing disorder that they see Bridgitte. I cannot thank her enough for all of her help, kindness and reassurance. She has a great talent and she is very good at what she does. Thank you Bridgitte for all your help from the bottom of my heart."
