Heather’s background is in the beauty sector. She qualified as a beauty therapist in 1998 and, up until joining The Hearing Clinic as the team’s Administration Assistant, she spent her working life as a clinic-based holistic and beauty therapist.
Over the years Heather has worked in a number of top international salons and spas, including locations such as The Elemis Day Spa in Mayfair, London, the Woburn Forest Centre Parcs Spa, and the Port Douglas Sheraton Hotel Spa in Australia’s far north Queensland.
In 2003 she opened her own beauty salon in Hertfordshire, and successfully managed all areas of the business for twelve years. In the meantime, she was continuing to develop her skills. Heather completed numerous postgraduate courses relating to advanced skin and body care therapy techniques, and holistic therapies to support cancer sufferers. She also achieved the first ‘teaching adult learners’ certificate.
Mum-of-three, Heather’s life is always busy. One of her daughters has hearing difficulties and wears a hearing aid, and it was the journey Heather has been on with her daughter that sparked her interest to work in the audiology sector.
Always keen to challenge herself, and to use her excellent people skills, Heather has changed her career path to join the team at The Hearing Clinic. She enjoys the variety and challenge of working in the service industry and takes great pride in providing the best possible client care.
